Watch: Lompoc Resident Calls Out Salud Carbajal At Public Meeting For “Armpit” Comment
Salud Carbajal continues to face criticism over calling Lompoc the “armpit” of Santa Barbara County, this time at a public meeting in Lompoc. Protestors previously gathered outside his campaign office before Carbajal paid his staff to apologize for him.
Some highlights of the speech:
We are the proud and generous people of Lompoc. But, we will not allow rich, condescending elitists to dictate to us anymore.
We will not be insulted, nor be talked down to by crafty, two-faced politicians who have the nerve to refer to us as the “armpit” of the county.
Mr. Carbajal’s comments have not gone unnoticed. You see, now you’re insulting our family. La familia.

And, by God, we are not the armpit of this county.
And I would ask you Mayor Lingl to demand an apology from Mr. Carbajal before he’s ever allowed to come back to this city.
