What happens when a liberal columnist whines about how the Denver Post’s Editorial Board treats Rep. Mike Coffman? The Post’s editorial page editor retorts with what Colorado liberals know but are afraid to say out loud:
“I think this is an election year stunt, not a genuine analysis,” he told me, arguing that there was no news hook for my blog post and I was not focusing on The Post’s treatment of other elected officials. “You’re picking Mike Coffman, when Morgan Carroll is struggling. Why is that? It looks like you’re trying to aid Morgan more than you are legitimately trying to critique an institution.”
Panic is beginning to set in as Carroll struggles to gain traction by running the same failed playbook from 2012 and 2014. As Democrats grasp at straws, it only becomes more evident that 6th District voters are again going to send Mike Coffman back to Washington to continue fighting for them.
