Some light reading before the CA-25 debate this afternoon

October 3, 2016

khtsAs Congressman Steve Knight and carpetbagging Beverly Hills trial lawyer Bryan Caforio begin their series of debates with a joint appearance on KHTS today, here are a few things to remember:

  • Caforio has called himself a “consumer rights attorney” and campaigned on fighting for the little guy. However, a Los Angeles Times investigation of Caforio’s legal career revealed that “his work more often involved being called upon by large corporations and multimillionaires from around the globe.”
  • Caforio moved into the district to run for congress. Period. That’s why just 3% of his campaign contributions come from individuals living in the 25th. Nobody knows or supports him.
  • Speaking of local support, Caforio’s Democratic primary opponent Lou Vince endorsed Knight, saying, Caforio “isn’t a member of this community and certainly doesn’t reflect the values of our district.”

NRCC Comment: “Beverly Hills trial lawyer Bryan Caforio only knows what his Washington handlers tell him and nothing about the district he hopes to represent in Congress. During debates, it will be incredibly apparent that Steve Knight, a lifelong resident and community leader, is the only candidate in the race who knows what it takes to represent the 25th District.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
