House Democrats (and Democrat Challengers) Must Answer the *Hassan Question*

Like the Presidential and Senate races, House debates are in full swing. The epic fallout since the last presidential debate leaves a number of questions unanswered from House Democrats and Democrat challengers regarding their support of Hillary Clinton. And, with the election fast-approaching, voters deserve answers.

The most pressing follows Governor Maggie Hassan’s jaw-dropping inability to answer whether she believes Hillary Clinton is honest:

Do House Democrats and Democrat challengers agree that their standard-bearer – who spent the last three decades convincing voters that she is dishonest and untrustworthy, risking our national security with her private email server, and deleting thousands of work emails to keep the public in the dark about her disastrous tenure as Secretary of State – is trustworthy?

NRCC Comment: “To be honest, we ruled out asking House Democrats if Hillary Clinton is honest because the answer seemed too obvious. But, Maggie Hassan has proven that there is no question too simple for Congressional Democrats and Democrat challengers desperately trying to walk the line between Hillary Clinton supporters and the voters who are repelled by her. In upcoming debates, House Democrats and Democrat challengers must answer the ‘Hassan Question,’ which will be just one test of their judgement – or lack thereof.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
