Obama knows best?
We’ve certainly come a long way from “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” Obamacare has moved on from its Lie of the Year to a new promise: if your health insurance provider runs from the unsustainable Obamacare marketplace, President Obama will choose a new health care plan for you!
The Associated Press is reporting this morning that, in an effort to keep consumers from dropping out of the failing Obamacare exchanges when their insurance companies leave the market, the Obama administration will “steer affected policyholders to remaining insurance companies.” And with the double-digit rate hikes being seen across the country, consumers’ new Obama-selected plan will likely be cost a whole lot more than they paid last year.
House Democrats have backed Obamacare through website failures, premium increases, insurers fleeing the marketplace, and a myriad of other disasters. But will they support the administration’s new plan to make health care choices on behalf of consumers?
