NRCC Statement: “While DC politician Ami Bera’s father was illegally funneling over $250,000 to his campaign, Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones was leading the Sheriff’s Department out of its worst financial crisis and putting criminals behind bars. The choice simply couldn’t be more clear for 7th District voters this November.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter

“Culpable” Script:

ANNCR:  DC politician Ami Bera took over two hundred and fifty grand of illegal campaign cash.

When federal prosecutors charged Bera’s father, Ami pleaded ignorance.

Over two hundred and fifty grand of dirty money.

How could Bera not have known about a money laundering scheme that landed his father in prison?

If Bera’s not criminally culpable, he’s completely incompetent.

 Dirty money. Fraud.

 Ami Bera can’t be trusted.

“Strong” Script:

Sheriff Scott Jones.

He led the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department through its worst financial crisis, balancing budgets and putting violent criminals behind bars.

It’s why Jones’ fellow lawmen named him President of the California Peace Officers Association.

In Congress, Jones will cut wasteful spending, balance the budget and strengthen small businesses.

And Jones will rebuild our military to destroy the terrorists.

Scott Jones.

Strong. Effective. Leadership.
