Just minutes ago at today’s MPR debate, Angie Craig refused to rule out cuts to Social Security benefits.

After both candidates were asked whether they consider cutting benefits as part of a reform plan for Social Security, Angie Craig, refused to rule out cuts, saying only that she’d work for a plan to Social Security and Medicare.

While Angie Craig may not care about Minnesota’s seniors, she made clear that she would fight to bring back earmarks to make it easier to reward her political insider friends!

NRCC Comment: “While Angie Craig advocates for a return to the era of earmarks to dole out money for the pet projects of her politically connected friends, she refuses to stand up for senior citizens. Angie Craig’s refusal to rule out cuts to Social Security benefits should give Minnesota’s seniors pause.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
