As Nancy Pelosi steps up to the podium, here are a few comments from her fellow Democrats:

Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY)
Washington Examiner

“Nancy Pelosi was a great speaker,” Rice said on MSNBC. “She is a great leader. But her time has come and gone.”

“I sat in a meeting the other day, and I listened to a rationale as to how we should be happy as a caucus because we didn’t lose as badly… two days ago as we did a year ago,” she said. “But we’re still losing.”

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA)
CNN

“This is certainly something that we have to discuss because it’s clear that, I think, across the board in the Democratic Party we need new leadership. It’s time for a new generation of leadership in the party.”

Rep. Filemon Vela (D-TX)
Politico

“I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top,” said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas), who supported Pelosi in her last leadership race. “Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons.”

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH)
CNN

“The brand is just bad,” Ryan said. “I don’t think people in the beltway are realizing just how toxic the Democratic Party brand is in so many parts of the country.”

Lemon asked Ryan if he believed Pelosi was more toxic than Donald Trump.

“The honest answer is in some areas of the country — yes, she is,” Ryan said. ” I think that in certain areas, like in some of these special election districts, it doesn’t benefit our candidates to be tied to her. “

Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ)
NBC News

“We’re always reviewing that, believe me,” Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) said when asked if the caucus needed a change at the top.
