Showing their Ossoff

September 7, 2017

House Democratic challengers in California are raising money… just not from within the districts they’re actually running in.

According to an analysis by Roll Call, CA-10 candidate Josh Harder raised a pathetic $1,000 of $386,000 from within his district’s boundaries. Most of Harder’s haul ostensibly came from his ties to liberal San Francisco (a far cry from the Central Valley).

Not to mention, CA-25’s Bryan Caforio (otherwise known as the carpetbagging “Beverly Hills Bryan”) raised just $14k of $164k from his district. The DCCC’s favored candidate in CA-39, Mai Khanh Tran (who also doesn’t live in the district), raised a paltry $8k of $252k from within the district. Katie Porter, a university professor running in CA-45, raised just $21k of $246k from the district.

You may have heard of the DCCC’s other highly-touted candidate who raised lots of cash from outside his district earlier this year. His name is Jon Ossoff. He’s the guy who spent $30 million in Georgia’s Sixth District and is now unemployed.
