Last night, the crowded Democratic field in Arizona’s 2^nd District had a town hall in Sierra Vista, in which they discussed a variety of issues – including Bernie Sanders’ $32 trillion single-payer plan introduced in the Senate yesterday.

Two of the five candidates (Billy Kovacs & Bruce Wheeler) on stage endorsed the plan outright, but three were silent: Ann Kirkpatrick, Mary Matiella, and Matt Heinz.

Single-payer is becoming the defining issue in Democratic primaries around the country. These candidates won’t be able to escape its gravitational pull forever… Arizonans have a right to know where they stand.
