Ruiz doubles down

At least he’s consistent if nothing else.

After voting against it in Committee, Raul Ruiz voted a second time to kill the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in order to protect Medicare subsidies for the top 1%. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, there are over 2 million kids enrolled in CHIP in California alone.

Protecting taxpayer subsidies for millionaires at the expense of children’s healthcare? That’s low, even for Ruiz.

Expect to see this vote haunt Ruiz all the way to November 2018.
