Just a few weeks after making offensive statements about John McCain’s battle with cancer, Matt Cartwright is at it again.
And this time his targets are much closer to home…
In an interview with the Economist, Cartwright explained why he thought his constituents voted for President Trump:
“These voters turned to Trump because they were desperate for economic change,” Cartwright said in the interview. “Take away the economic anxiety, and the bigotry and misogyny go away.”
Bigotry and misogyny?
Interesting choice of words given the fact that Trump won his district by a ten-point-margin.
