For the third time this year, Matt Cartwright has voted to kill a safety net program that provides essential health care to 8.4 million low-income children.
The Children’s Health Insurance Program also covers about 370,000 pregnant women each year. Many of those women live in medically-underserved communities and lack comprehensive health services.
