Awkward

January 22, 2018

After intense pressure from Republicans, voters, and some pretty bleak polls – Rick Nolan has caved and voted to reopen the government.

It’s too bad that he didn’t sooner realize the real-life implications a government shutdown has on government employees, members of the military and their families, and the country in general.

Wait – he DID realize this. Nolan in 2013: “Shutting down the government when veterans already face months or even years of delays in claims processing is irresponsible and unnecessary, and is no way to treat the men and women we send into harm’s way.”

Awkward. What a profile in courage.

Unfortunately for him, we won’t soon forget that Radical Rick voted to shut the government down and cancel health care for sick children of low-income families a mere 3 days ago. We will make sure Minnesota voters don’t forget either.
