Matt Cartwright’s latest vote shows just how painfully out of touch he is with his district.

By voting against the Stop the Importation and Trafficking of Synthetic Analogues Act:

• Cartwright voted against making it easier to ban synthetic drugs
• Voted against giving law enforcement the tools necessary to take synthetic drugs off the street
• Voted against giving law enforcement the tools they need to target criminal drug manufacturers
• He also voted against another opioid bill yesterday that helps Americans recovering from opioid addiction find stable housing

These drugs killed nearly 20,000 people in 2016 alone, but Cartwright would rather continue voting lockstep with Nancy Pelosi than protect his district from the opioid epidemic.
