trouble in paradise

Who could have predicted this?!

The Sacramento Bee reports there is “lingering distrust” among Democrats after nasty primary fights that featured allegations of sexual harassment, drunken assaults, racism, intimidation, lying, resume inflation, lawsuits… the list goes on.

Democrats in the Golden State worry this inability to unify may impact enthusiasm and hurt the party’s overall effort to compete. One Orange County activist who supported losing 45th District candidate Dave Min said: “All of the candidates have said the appropriate things, [but] my anecdotal conversations with the people I’m closest to, Min supporters, there’s a lack of enthusiasm…”

If Democrats can’t present a united front this fall, they’re toast. As the struggle for unity stretches into its second full month after the primary, Democrats are running out of time. Tick tock…
