In a candidate forum that took place earlier today, Washington Insider Andy Kim was exposed by Congressman MacArthur for supporting a complete government takeover of health care.

As reported by the Associated Press: Kim didn’t rebut the charge in the forum, but a spokesman said afterward that Kim doesn’t support such a system.

But here’s what Andy Kim said in January when he was asked about HR 676 (Medicare for All)…

“I definitely wanna make sure that we can have universal healthcare.”

He continues to say, “I absolutely wanna get there. I think there is a lot of good in this proposal, but I think we can make it better.” Towards the end a woman interrupts and asks specifically about HR 676, Medicare for All, which he concludes: “I agree on the values of that and agree with you on the goal.”

To recap, Andy Kim has previously supported a government takeover of health care, he didn’t deny it at the candidate forum, and now his campaign is trying to rewrite history.
