Proverbs 13:20 says: “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

Colin Allred would do well to heed this advice.

Yesterday, the Washington Examiner revealed that Colin held a fundraiser at the home of Laura Otting, whose vitriolic, hateful social media rants include: “Fuck the white men,” “Fuck the Bible voters,” and  “Who knew that America was even more sexist than racist? And jeez, is it racist.”

This follows on the heels of Colin’s involvement writing “Dog Whistle Politics,” a book that alleges whites live in suburbs and go to private schools in order to flee interacting with minorities, and that whites measure success by being able to avoid interacting with minorities. Colin calls the author he worked for, Ian Haney Lopez, “really well-respected.”

The people Colin associates with paint an ugly, divisive picture of his worldview – a far cry from the so-called ‘uniter’ who claims he won’t be a “party-line politician.” If these people don’t represent who Colin is, he should say so – by denouncing their hateful rhetoric and dumping their campaign cash.
