NRCC Calls on Clyburn to Cancel Campaign Event with Admitted Domestic Abuser Archie Parnell
WASHINGTON – The NRCC is calling on House Assistant Minority Leader Jim Clyburn to apologize and cancel his appearance at a campaign event for SC-05 Democrat Archie Parnell, who admitted to abusing his ex-wife. Clyburn previously urged Parnell to drop out of the race when the facts first surfaced.
NRCC Communications Director Matt Gorman released the following statement:
“Congressman Clyburn’s actions aren’t just hypocritical, they’re disgusting,” said NRCC Communications Director Matt Gorman. “The NRCC calls on him to apologize and cancel the event.”
Due to the unfortunate circumstances recently revealed, I hereby urge @Archie4Congress to end his campaign.
