NRCC Weekly Rundown: The rabid anti-Semites are back at it

May 17, 2019

And here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:

(National) Once again, the socialist Democrats sparked a media frenzy after their latest round of anti-Semitic comments. And once again, the mainstream media ignored the story and defended the bigot in question. In the latest instance, Rashida Tlaib said thinking of the Holocaust provided her with a “calming feeling,” and then went on a historically illiterate rant about how Palestinians created a “safe haven” for Jews at the expense of their land and “human dignity.” (Note: In reality, the Palestinians allied with Nazi Germany.) So far, and as expected, the media has only attacked the GOP for “pouncing” on these rabid anti-Semites. Just imagine the reaction from the press if a Republican had made those comments.

(National) This week Republicans gave the socialist Democrats another chance to stand up to the rampant anti-Semitism in their caucus by introducing a discharge petition for anti-Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) legislation. Three months ago, the Senate passed bipartisan legislation to combat the anti-Semitic BDS movement, in a 77-23 vote. Since then, Nancy Pelosi and her socialist cohorts have blocked consideration to avoid putting the prominent anti-Semites in their caucus in a tough spot. Will the socialist Dems finally take a stand against anti-Semitism or will they once again cower in fear of the bigots in their party?

(CA-21) Tax-Cheat T.J. Cox is in hot water once again after six local CA-21 residents filed a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics for his failure to disclose all of his business interests during the campaign. One resident told the Fresno Bee: “We just don’t need anybody around that lies to us all the time. We’re just out here trying to stick up for ourselves.” Yikes. You can watch local TV coverage of the Cox complaint here.

(CA-25) Katie Hill was on MSNBC this week riling up her donor base with talk of impeaching President Trump. In an interview with Chris Matthews, Hill said she doesn’t think it’s a mistake for Democrats to proceed with impeachment proceedings. Music to the ears of liberal California mega-donor, Tom Steyer

(FL-15) Reject candidate Andrew Learned is giving it another go in FL-15 despite failing miserably last cycle. Following an unsuccessful primary campaign, Learned will face even more pressure to support extreme socialist policies like socialized health care, the Green New Deal and the rampant anti-Semitism spreading throughout his party. If he doesn’t stand with his radical base, this go-around won’t be any different than the last. We’re sending our condolences, Andrew!

(FL-26) Debbie Mucarsel-Powell can’t stop talking about combating climate change, calling it a “crisis”(HEREHERE and HERE). She’s even cosponsored AOC’s socialist boondoggle, the Green New Deal. But, when Debbie found out her former opponent, Congressman Curbelo, was invited to testify on combating this crisis before Congress, she threw a hissy fit and demanded he be uninvited. In her rage, she even confronted the wrong Chairman to yell at (oops!). Kind of feels like the bigger crisis for Debbie is remaining a politician and pleasing her party leaders.

(FL-26, FL-27) The band of anti-Semites in Washington are holding Florida Reps. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and Donna Shalala on a tight leash. This week Mucarsel-Powell and Shalala eagerly showed up for a press conference on the crisis in Venezuela, but cowered in fear when it came to calling for the removal of Maduro-supportingIlhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee. Both Debbie and Donna represent THOUSANDS of Venezuelans – speaking out against Omar should be a no-brainer. What are they so afraid of?

(IA-02) Democratic socialist Rita Hartofficially announced her run for Congress in IA-02 this week. Hart was last seen losing her 2018 bid for Lieutenant Governor, continuing Democrats’ national trend of running retread candidates who have already been rejected by voters. Winning this seat will be an uphill battle for Hart, given that President Trump won this district in 2016, and she’ll be forced to defend her party’s asinine socialist policies and anti-Semitism. Iowans already rejected Rita once – but she can’t take a hint.

(IA-03) Cindy Axne flat out lied to Iowa voters this week after telling her constituents, “I don’t take corporate PAC money, but most people do, and I think that’s a shame.” But, according to Axne’s own campaign finance report, she’s accepted THOUSANDS of dollars from Land O’Lakes, Inc. PAC – exactly the kind of corporate PAC she and her fellow socialists attempt to vilify. Just another case of “Do as I say, not as I do” from a socialist fraud. Axne should be ashamed of herself.

(IL-14) Not long ago, Fake Nurse Lauren Underwood was griping on MSNBC about the lack of resources at the U.S. southern border. If Lauren’s so concerned, why did she vote against providing emergency food, shelter, and care for unaccompanied children who cross the border? Why hasn’t she called on her party to propose a budget and provide our border agents with the funding they so desperately need? Judging by her voting record, it seems like the Fake Nurse would rather play politics and let children starve at the border so she can continue to soak up the spotlight on national TV.

(IL-17) A storm’s brewing in IL-03 after Beltway Bustos upped the ante on DCCC progressive blacklist victim Marie Newman. Despite warnings from her constituents, Bustos decided to headline a high-dollar fundraiser for establishment Democrat Dan Lipinksi. Meanwhile, Newman has been racking up endorsements from major progressive groups. Bustos and Lipinski might want to watch their backs…

(KS-03) Instead of meeting with constituents this week, socialist Sharice Davids was hanging out in San Francisco raising campaign cash from the Bay Area elite, and endorsing murder on her personal Instagram page. Davids held a fundraiser at Manny’s, a local leftist hot spot in the trendy Mission District where you can catch lectures like How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence. We’re glad Sharice could get some time with her fellow radicals in San Fran – who she has more in common with anyway.

(ME-02) Infanticide-loverJared Golden is in a pickle as national Democrats sound the alarm over the insane position the socialist Democrats have taken on abortion. While a member of Maine’s State House of Representatives, Goldenvoted against legislation to strengthen consent laws for abortions performed on minors and opposed legislation that would have required licensing and regulation over abortion facilities. Golden is clearly a radical abortionist, which makes him the perfect fit for the infanticide-loving socialist Democrats.

(NY-22) Anthony Brindisi has some serious explaining to do after bragging about honoring L. Frank Baum, the creator of the Wizard of Oz and noted bigot. Baum was an avid white supremacist, called for the extermination of American Indians, and closely followed the teaching of Helena Blavatsky – a woman who referred to Jews as “semi-human.” Not sure that’s something NY-22 should be proud of, Anthony.

(NM-02) Xochitl TorresSmall has been making the rounds on the liberal talk show circuit assuring everyone that all is well on the border, however, her constituents clearly disagree. This week, the city of Deming declared a state of emergency as they attempt to cope with the mass influx of illegal immigrants flooding their city. It’s well past time Torres Small stopped spouting liberal talking points and showed some leadership.

(NC-09) Playtime is over for Dan McCready who has yet to let North Carolinians know where he stands on a variety of issues, including infanticide, socialized health care, the Green New Deal, and the baseless impeachment of President Trump. Months ago, Charlotte Observer’s editorial board wrote “What exactly would voters get in Dan McCready? Don’t ask him.” Now that McCready has a challenger, perhaps it’s time to start asking some questions.

(OK-05) Accidental Congresswoman Kendra Horn is only four months into her first term, but News9 is reporting that the DCCC is already cutting her loose, and who can blame them? Democrats are desperately trying to defend 31 seats in districts President Trump won, so there are bound to be some causalities. A surprise first-term member in ruby red Oklahoma is naturally the first choice!

(PA-12) In case you missed it, socialist loser Marc Friedenbergreiterated his support for AOC’s Green New Deal – despite the fact that it will completely decimate Pennsylvania’s coal and natural gas industries and put thousands of his constituents out of work. If that wasn’t enough to turn off PA voters, Friedenberg failed to disclose his campaign’s expenses, and then threw his staff under the bus for the mistake! Ironically, among those expenses Friedenberg failed to disclose were the payments and identities of those anonymous staffers who took the fall.

(TX-23) More than two months after DCCC Chair Cheri “Beltway” Bustosannounced that Gina Jones would once again run for Congress, and six months after she attended orientation despite losing the election, Jones finally announced she is making another run for Congress. Texans already rejected D.C. nativeGina Jones in 2018, after she vocally supported closing U.S. military bases and the socialist Democrats’ $32 trillion single-payer health care plan. If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, someone should check on Jones and the Texas Democrats.

(TX-32) Joining with the radical anti-Semites in his caucus, Collin Allred decided to heap praise upon the anti-Semitic Imam his colleagues chose to give the invocation on the House floor last week. Omar Suleiman, the bigot in question, has a long history of hateful remarks, including comparing Israel to the KKK, accusing Israel of committing genocide, and defending Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic tropes. Allred must have no problem with Suleiman’s comments given that he posed for a photo with him.

(UT-04) Ben McAdams found himself in a tough spot this week after Utahns announced their disapproval of the Equality Ace because it infringes on religious freedoms. Ignoring his constituents, McAdams supported the bill and even went so far as to cosponsor it!  McAdams is just a socialist minion who doesn’t care what Utahns believe and votes as ordered by the Democrats in Washington.

(VA-07) Fake moderateAbigail Spanberger has been doing her best to separate herself from the socialist Democrats – too bad her voting record shows otherwise. Abigail has voted with her extremist colleagues 93% of the time! Abigail can do her best to distance herself from the crazies in her caucus, but she will always be loyal to the socialist Democrats.

(WI-03) Vice President Mike Pence visited Eau Claire, Wisconsin yesterday and called on Ron Kind to support the USMCA, President Trump’s new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico. But, since Kind is laser focused on the baseless impeachment of President Trump, it’s unlikely he will do anything to actually help Wisconsin manufacturers and farmers. Too bad.

Valerie Plame claims she had ‘not read’ anti-Semitic article, published by Holocaust denier, that she spread

Former CIA operative Valerie Plame has claimed she had no idea that an article entitled “America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars” from a website run by a Holocaust denier, which she retweeted in 2017, was anti-Semitic

Plame, who announced last week she is running for an open House seat in New Mexico, called the misstep “a doozy” – the same term she used in a 2017 apology – in an interview with MSNBC on Sunday. “I’m human and we all make mistakes. It was just a doozy, and it was very public,” Plame said. READ.

Charlie Crist quietly visited Cuba as tensions over Venezuela escalated

U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist quietly traveled to Cuba last month to meet with officials there amid mounting tension between the Communist island and President Donald Trump’s administration over the crisis in Venezuela.

The trip spanned April 25 through April 27, according to travel records maintained by the House of Representatives Committee on Ethics, and was not publicized by Crist’s Congressional office. The sponsor of the trip was the Center for Democracy in the Americas, an organization that “promotes a U.S. policy toward Cuba based on engagement and recognition of Cuba’s sovereignty,” according to its website. Did TJ Cox mislead voters? Democratic congressman calls ethics complaint a partisan attack

A group of Kings County residents filed a complaint against Rep. TJ Cox with the Office of Congressional Ethics alleging the freshman congressman misled voters when he failed to disclose certain business interests.

The complaint references multiple Bee stories about Cox’s disclosures, other business dealings with the city of Fresno and a Maryland residence.

“At best, Representative Cox was grossly negligent in complying with the financial disclosure requirements and in failing to provide voters with complete and accurate information to make an informed selection of a candidate,” the complaint says.” At worst, Representative Cox willfully concealed accurate financial information regarding current ties and past legal issues.” READ.

Republicans attack Native American rep for t-shirt about killing ‘colonizers’

The main campaign wing of House Republicans is attacking Rep. Sharice Davids over a photo showing her wearing a shirt it says endorses political violence, but the Johnson County Democrat’s campaign says the phrase on the shirt simply references Native American history.

The Kansas congresswoman, one of only two Native American women in the U.S. House, worked on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota from 2012 to 2016, prior to launching her political career.

In a photo posted to Twitter last month, Davids is wearing a shirt that says, “ALL MY HEROES KILLED COLONIZERS.”

The image was shared by @AmericanIndian8, an account that tweets about Native American news and the indigenous rights movement. Davids follows the account—as does the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and a slew of other political and media figures.

The National Republican Congressional Committee accused Davids of supporting political violence in an email blast Thursday.

“Might be worth asking Davids which ‘colonizers’ she endorses the murder of and which murderers she considers her heroes,” Bob Salera, the NRCC’s spokesman, said. READ.

Republicans’ Messaging on Abortion Puts Democrats on the Defensive

With grisly claims that Democrats promote “birth day abortions” and are “the party of death,” the Republican Party and its conservative allies have aggressively reset the terms of one of the country’s most divisive and emotionally fraught debates, forcing Democrats to reassess how they should respond to attacks that portray the entire party as extremist on abortion.

The unusually forceful, carefully coordinated campaign has created challenges that Democrats did not expect as they struggle to combat misinformation and thwart further efforts to undercut access to abortion. And advocates of abortion rights fear it is succeeding in pressuring lawmakers in more conservative states to pass severe new restrictions, as Alabama did this week by approving a bill that would essentially outlaw the procedure.

These new measures, combined with the likelihood that the Supreme Court will agree to take up at least one case in the coming months where Roe v. Wade will be tested, have stirred intense passions on both sides and elevated abortion into a prominent issue in the presidential race.

Much to the distress of abortion rights supporters, their own polling is showing that the right’s message is penetrating beyond the social conservatives who make up a large part of the Republican base. Surveys conducted for progressive groups in recent weeks found that more than half of Americans were aware of the “infanticide” claims that President Trump and his party have started making when describing abortions that occur later in pregnancy.
