Kulkarni being paid by fraudster donor
A new report details Sri Kulkarni’s shady finances and raises questions about how he’s paying his personal expenses while running for Congress.
According to Kulkarni’s financial disclosure, the only income he’s made for the last two years is $6,000 for consulting work for Mires Ran Clark & Associates, whose CEO, Kulkarni donor Amir Mireskandari, was recently in the news when accusations of fraud caused Harris County DA Kim Ogg to cancel a contract with him.
So how has Kulkarni been paying his bills the past two years with just $6,000 in income? He claims he’s “relying on savings.” But Kulkarni reported no assets on his financial disclosure form, which included $60,001 – $115,000 in debt. So either Kulkarni failed to disclose these “savings” he’s speaking of, or there’s money coming from somewhere else. Either way, Kulkarni owes Texans a fuller picture of his finances.
