NRCC Weekly Rundown: Democrats waste another week on impeachment
Here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:
(National)
Vulnerable
Democrats got an earful from constituents last week
as new polling shows voters in
battleground districts are extremely angry over the Democrats’ deranged
obsession with baseless impeachment. This anger won’t be going away anytime
soon considering Democratic leaders are pushing to hold a floor vote on their
efforts to remove President Trump from office. I guess they’re
determined to send vulnerable members to an early retirement!
(National)
Policy
experts and economists are sounding the alarm over the Democrats’ plans for
socialized medicine. The Washington Post detailed the damning
reality about Democrats’ government-run health care plan, which will saddle the
middle class with “substantial tax increases.” But the socialist Democrats are hellbent on
forcing the middle class to pay for their socialist health care boondoggle and
it will surely cost them their majority!
(AZ-02)
Ann Kirkpatrick is bucking her constituents to support the socialist
Democrats’ government-run health care plan that will cost Arizona families
thousands of dollars. Policy experts and economists agree: Kirkpatrick’s socialist
agenda is going to raise taxes and leave Arizonans waiting in longer lines for
worse care at the doctor’s office.
(CA-10,
21, 25, 39, 45, 48, 49) SoCal socialists T.J. Cox, Josh Harder, Katie
Hill, Gil Cisneros, Katie Porter, Harley Rouda, and Mike
Levin all stand behind Democrats’ radical plans for government-run,
socialized health care. This is the same plan policy experts and economists are
sounding off about, explaining that socialized medicine will exponentially
raise taxes on the middle class. Take a look for yourself!
(CA-21) According to a report by NBC Fresno last weekend, T.J. Cox
was told by Democratic party leadership that his campaign wouldn’t receive funding
unless he voted to endorse Congressman Jim Costa during a county party
meeting on October 5th. Bold move considering Esmerelda Soria
(Rep. Costa’s primary opponent) and T.J. are longtime friends. This only proves what
everyone already knows: T.J. is in major trouble, and the DCCC will leverage it for everything it’s worth. Click HERE to watch the report (1:30-2:00).
(CO-06) Jason Crow’s Q3 campaign finance report shows he broke his corporate PAC pledge. According to
his FEC report, Crow accepted $1,500 from the BHFS-E PC PAC, a
registered corporate PAC tied to a Denver
based lobbying and law firm. REMINDER: Crow once
said that lobbyists asking him if he
would go back on his pledge once elected was, “everything that’s wrong with our
politics right now.” Maybe Jason Crow lying to get elected is everything
that’s wrong with our politics right now…
(GA-07) Failed
congressional candidate Carolyn Bourdeaux was caught on camera telling a bold face lie this
week. When asked why she is backing impeachment, Bourdeaux
openly lied saying, “I’m not,
I’m not.” If Carolyn isn’t backing impeachment, why did she tell the AJC
that she supports the
Democrats’ deranged quest to impeach and remove the president from office?
Blatant lies like this will ensure Georgians reject Bourdeaux once
again, especially considering President Trump won GA-07 in 2016…
(IA-01) Iowans don’t love
Abby Finkenauer, but the Coastal Elites in California sure do! Abby raised $176,540 from
California this quarter, while just a pathetic 23 percent of her donations
came from Iowans. Abby knows she has to make the liberal California
elites happy; that’s why she’ll put Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats’
socialist agenda over Iowans every single time!
(IL-06) During recess a constituent asked Sean Casten why he
won’t condemn anti-Semitism. His response? Casten cowardly called
Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who lost his eye during his third
deployment overseas in Afghanistan, a “racist” because Crenshaw introduced
legislation protecting Americans’ right to vote. Yep. Then again… this is the same guy who thinks “bipartisanship is overrated,” compared the
president to Osama bin Laden, and believes what voters
think “should not matter.”
(KS-03) This quarter Sharice Davids accepted campaign cash from
rampant anti-Semite Ilhan Omar, taking a $2,000
donation from Omar’s campaign account, Ilhan for Congress. Click HERE to read the long list of anti-Semitic
bile Sharice Davids’ donor has spewed.
(ME-02)
Jared Golden is set on making single-payer the Democrats’ health care “destination.” That’s
terrible news for Mainers considering economists and policy experts agree government-run socialized health
care would be detrimental to middle class taxpayers. If Golden’s
“destination” is taxing Maine voters into oblivion, he’s setting himself up to
be a one-term Congressman!
(MN-01) And they’re off! Socialist loser* Dan Feehan
has a new primary opponent, Ralph Kaehler, kickstarting their sprint to
the left. Who will be first to offer their unequivocal support for government-run health care, demand a
mandatory buyback of all guns, sign onto the Green New Deal, and back open
borders? Refusal to jump on board with these socialist proposals will result in
that candidate losing the radical liberal base, which they need to win the
primary. Ready Dan? Ready Ralph? On your mark…get set….go!
(NV-04) Middle class
Nevada families are going to pay the price for Steven Horsford’s support
of the socialist Democrats’ government-run socialized health care plan. Horsford,
who wants to see “the country move toward” single-payer,
is conveniently leaving out the damning reality behind
socialized medicine: worse care and higher costs. Oh yeah, and it will cost
Nevada families thousands of dollars.
(NY-19)
Antonio Delgado pledged that he wouldn’t
take any corporate PAC money, but now that he’s comfortable in the
D.C. swamp, he’s abandoned his promise, taking $1,000 in corporate PAC money last
quarter. Just like his pledge to be a moderate, Delgado’s
promise to not accept corporate PAC money has proven to be empty political
rhetoric!
(OR-04) Economists and policy experts are detailing the scary reality behind the government-run
socialized health care plan Peter DeFazio cosponsors. Turns out Peter D.’s
socialist agenda will straddle Oregon families with thousands of dollars in new
taxes for longer lines and worse care at the doctor’s office. Yikes! Good luck
in 2020, Peter D!
(PA-07,
08) Matt Cartwright and Susan Wild’s support for socialized medicine has guaranteed
their time in Congress is coming to an end. Economists have pointed out the
scary reality behind their socialist health care plan, detailing how
Pennsylvania voters will be taxed into oblivion. Exponentially raising taxes on
your constituents probably isn’t the most effective way to keep your seat in
2020…
(TX-24) Deranged socialist Beto O’Rourke appears to have lost his
mind as he’s plummeted in the polls, but that isn’t stopping disgraced war profiteer Kim Olson
from rallying with him! Since Olson is
joining the furry on the campaign trail, it’s fair to ask
whether she
agrees with his more insane ideas, like:
- Taxing churches if they don’t sign on to the socialist Democrats’ platform
- Confiscating guns from law-abiding Americans
- Giving “Justice Grants” to drug offenders
- Turning the post office into a bank or something?
How desperate does Olson have to be to
hitch her wagon tothis lunatic?
(VA-07) In case you missed it, the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s
Editorial Board published a piece calling for more
transparency in the socialist Democrats’ deranged quest to remove President
Trump from office. I wonder, does Abigail Spanbergeragree with her local editorial board? Or is
she too busy partaking in CNN puff pieces about how she’s a leader
on impeaching and removing President Trump from office to read her local paper?
(WA-03, 08) Carolyn Long and Kim Schrier are throwing their “absolute support” behind the Democrats’ socialized health care plan, which is expected
to cost Washington families thousands of dollars. What will middle-class
families get in return for the socialist Democrats’ big tax increase? Longer
lines and worse care! Long and Schrier want to turn our health care system into
the DMV, and Washington families are going to suffer.
(WI-03) After promising to work on trade, Ron Kind made clear what he and
his party are really focused on: the baseless impeachment of President Trump.
That’s bad news for Wisconsin’s dairy farmers who are hurting while the USMCA
continues to stall in Washington, thanks to Kind and his socialist
colleagues. Click HERE to watch Ron Kind finally admit
that he and the Democrats are singularly focused on removing President Trump
from office rather than issues WI voters actually care about.

NRCC Looks to Link Donna Shalaa to Nancy Pelosi, Socialism
Last week, freshman U.S. Rep. Donna Shalala, D-Fla., hosted a roundtable event
in South Florida with U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., top
lieutenant–and the GOP is trying to showcase it.
…
With the GOP hoping to defeat Shalala next year, the National Republican
Congressional Committee (NRCC) weighed in on the event.
“Donna Shalala is joining Nancy Pelosi’s top lap dog, Steny Hoyer today for a
healthcare event,” noted Camille Gallo, a spokeswoman for the NRCC. “But since
Donna and her socialist party are obsessed with removing President Trump from
office instead of fixing our healthcare system, Floridians should expect
absolutely nothing to come out of this photo-op. Donna would rather try to
remove the president from office than fight for better healthcare like she
promised to FL-27.” READ.
Republicans seize on impeachment in bid to retake House
House Republicans have been struggling mightily to recruit candidates in key
battleground districts, given the likelihood of serving in the minority,
possibly with a new Democratic president.
But the Democratic impeachment drive is delivering a much-needed jolt to their
efforts to retake the chamber.
Once-wary potential candidates are preparing to come off the sidelines,
according to party recruiters, and the GOP’s small-dollar donor base is
stepping up to help the party compete against Democrats who are practically
awash in money, according to nearly a dozen interviews with Republican Party
officials and some prospective contenders themselves.
“It certainly sparks something in you when you see this bombardment
against our president,” said Dale Crafts, a former state representative
and paraplegic businessman who plans to launch a run this week against
Democratic Rep. Jared Golden of Maine.
Seizing on impeachment and seeking to protect President Donald Trump, GOP
outside groups over the past week have launched a seven-figure TV ad blitz in
targeted districts and rolled out fundraising initiatives to help bankroll the
eventual Republican nominee in some 20 Trump-won seats. They’re also cranking
up efforts aimed at building donor lists. READ.
For House Democrats, impeachment probe widens the divide they hoped to
bridge
Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin stood in one of the most Republican towns in the
most Republican county of her Republican-leaning district and started
delivering the speech she never wanted to give.
“I have not been supportive of an impeachment inquiry up until now,” she told
the crowd packed into a public library meeting room. “The issue that got to me
was this idea that the president — the most powerful man in the world — reached
out to a foreigner, a foreign leader, and asked him to dig up dirt on an
American.”
“Not true!” a woman shouted from the back. “Fake news!” said another. “He’s
your president, Slotkin!”
…
Days after House Democrats suddenly coalesced behind a formal impeachment
investigation, spurred by Trump’s pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr
Zelensky to investigate a political rival, apprehensive lawmakers faced a
two-week stretch at home where they immediately were questioned about their
stance amid escalating political tensions, rapidly evolving news developments
and a flurry of GOP attacks. READ.
House GOP touts poll showing impeachment advantage for Republicans
House GOP leaders are telling their rank-and-file members that impeachment will
backfire on Democrats and give the GOP a chance to flip dozens of
Democratic-held seats next year.
Members were briefed Monday during a call led by House Minority Leader Kevin
McCarthy (R-Calif.) on a new poll taken by the House GOP’s campaign arm that
showed 68 percent of voters see impeachment as being politically motivated.
“The numbers look good for us,” one source on the call said. “[They] show
independents and voters in districts Trump won with a Dem rep are against
impeachment.” READ.
