Axne’s radio disaster

Cindy Axne called in for an interview with Des Moines radio host Simon Conway yesterday, and, boy, did it go poorly.

Axne desperately tried to dodge questions on her vote for impeachment, prompting Conway to remark, “You voted for this impeachment inquiry. Why are you running away from the vote?”

And when Axne insisted that the conversation change subjects, she straight up lied when asked about her recent Chicago fundraiser hosted by former Playboy CEO Christie Hefner, saying that the majority of her campaign funds were from Iowans (in reality, just 35% of her donations have come from Iowa).
