NRCC Weekly Rundown: Pelosi parties while Iranian missiles fly

January 10, 2020

Here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:

(National) Revered strategist Nancy Pelosi let America know just how seriously she takes acts of war against American troops, blowing off a phone call with Vice President Mike Pence detailing Iranian attacks against U.S forces to attend a swanky restaurant opening. Pelosi’s decision to hobnob with DC society rather than defend American troops who are under attack fully embodies the socialist Democrats’ deranged obsession with doing whatever they can to spite President Trump.

(National) Nancy Master LegislatorPelosi is taking heat from Democrats over her refusal to hand over the articles of impeachment. One of Pelosi’s own committee chairs, Adam Smithcame out this week in opposition to Pelosi’s political stunt, highlighting what Dana Bash called “growing frustration inside” the Democrat Party. Pelosi’s asinine plan to withhold the articles of impeachment has done nothing but consolidate nationwide opposition to Democrats’ baseless impeachment efforts and reinforced that impeachment is nothing more than a political stunt.

(AZ-01)“Green Shirt Guy” Alex Kackthe man who went viral over his reaction to protesters in Tucson, is now working to unseatTom O’Halleran by serving as Eva Putzova’snew field directorPutzova is the progressive immigrant woman trying to take out O’Halleran in a Democratic primary. O’Halleran is trying his hardest to placate his progressive base – even voting for impeachment – but it’s not going to work!

(California) This week, California’s senior Senator Dianne Feinstein called on Nancy Pelosi to send the articles of impeachment over to the Senate. Feinstein bluntly said, “…if it’s serious and urgent, send them over.” I wonder: Do Josh Harder, T.J. Cox, Gil Cisneros, Katie Porter, Harley Rouda and Mike Levin agree with their Democrat colleague? Or will they continue to play partisan games and take orders from Nancy Pelosi?

(CA-45) Elizabeth Warren campaign co-chair Katie Porter traveled to Iowa yet again to campaign for her mentor. Porter, who represents a district nowhere near Iowa, spent NovemberANDDecember campaigning for Warren in the Hawkeye state. Maybe if Katie had her bat-mobile she could travel between California and Iowa super quick so she wouldn’t have to miss votes or choose between Elizabeth Warren and being in the district for her constituents!

(CA-48) Pretend moderate Harley Rouda hasn’t officially announced his endorsement of Joe Biden, but he and his wife cohosted a fundraiser for Biden this week. Maybe Rouda thought no one would notice? If elected, Biden is promising a far-left agenda of higher taxesfree health care for illegal immigrants and an AOC-approved Green New Deal. If Rouda is going to champion liberal causes that are out-of-touch with his district he can expect to lose in 2020.

(FL-26) During House Democrats’ impeachment sham, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell said Trump’s presidency was “the beginning of a dictatorship.” But for three weeks, Nancy Pelosi has refused to turn over the articles of impeachment to the Senate. If Mucarsel-Powell really believes President Trump is a brutal dictator, why hasn’t she demanded Pelosi quit playing partisan games and hand over the articles? Could it be this whole impeachment thing was really about her obsessive hatred of the president?

(IA-01) From bizarre claims that 5G wireless service causes cancer to recollections of his past life as a lifeguard, it’s clear Joe Biden is no longer playing with a full deck. But, that didn’t stop Abby Finkenauer from endorsing his presidential campaign! The media has decided Joe Biden is the “moderate” candidate, but the truth is he’s running on a socialist platform of free health care for illegal immigrants, higher taxes and taxpayer-funded abortions. Good luck selling that agenda in a Trump district like IA-01!

(IL-17) Cheri “Beltway” Bustos claims her philosophy in Congress is “talking to her constituents,” but how about listening? Considering how out of touch she is with IL-17, maybe Bustos shouldn’t be offering her two-cents. Beltway Bustos votes with socialist darling AOC94% of the time and Speaker Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time. And on top of that, Bustos represents a district Trump won in 2016 but voted to impeach and remove him from office just three weeks ago. Bye bye, Cheri!

(KS-03) In a desperate attempt to rebrand herself as a “moderate,” Sharice Davids insisted she doesn’t support socialized medicine despite telling Kansans her true stance long ago. At a forum in 2018, Davidsexplicitly said, “I’m supportive of a Medicare for All, single-payer system.” What’s changed since 2018, Sharice? Your reelection chances?

(ME-02)Jared Golden made it crystal clear he doesn’t represent ME-02 voters, boasting to the New York Times, “I vote with the Democratic Party like 88 percent of the time.”Golden has been anything but the independent he promised voters on the campaign trail. In a district that President Trump won by 10 points, Golden’s loyalty and support for the House Democrats’ socialist agenda and deranged impeachment quest will cost him reelection.

(MI-08) After throwing a tantrum claiming there was “no clear strategy” in Iran, Elissa Slotkin is upset that President Trump took out Qassem Soleimani – who, let’s not forget, was a bloodthirsty murderous terrorist. REMINDER:Slotkin’s idea of a “strategy” is giving terrorists like Soleimani $150 billion in cash. It’s disgraceful, but unsurprising that Elissa would use the killing of an Iranian terrorist as a partisan, political opportunity.

(MI-08, MI-11) In case you missed it, a new poll is out showing Michigan voters STILL want nothing to do with House Democrats’ baseless impeachment sham. This isn’t good for Elissa Slotkin and Haley Stevens who both supported their party’s deranged quest. Thanks for playing, ladies!

(MN-03) On his media tour calling for impeachment, Dean Phillips declared the “clear and damning” evidence against President Trump required “immediate action.” But, three weeks after the socialist Democrats voted to impeach and remove President Trump from office, Nancy Pelosi is refusing to send the articles over to the Senate. So where is Dean’s outrage at the lack of urgency? Or was he playing shameless political games when he voted to impeach the president?

(NJ-02) The Democratic primary in NJ-02 is quickly turning into a disaster for national Democrats with Amy Kennedycrashing into the race. Kennedy joins three other candidates vying to see who can support the most extreme socialist agenda. Kennedy’scrash landing makes one thing clear – the NJ-02 Democratic primary will be a bloody, expensive fight that will leave the Democratic nominee behind the eight ball!

(NJ-03)Andy Kim has become so blinded by his hatred of President Trump that he can’t even call the man with the blood of hundreds of Americans on his hands a ‘terrorist.’ Kim’s rhetoric is the latest reminder of his abysmal judgement when it comes to foreign policy. When Kim served as President Obama’spoint man” on all things Iraq and ISIS, President Obama declared “we don’t have a strategy yet” on ISIS, referred to them as a JV team, and admitted to underestimating their threat. And, since we’re on the topic of Kim’s hatred for our president, I wonder if he’ll speak up and demand Nancy Pelosi send the articles of impeachment to the Senate. After all, isn’t the “future of our Constitution and presidency” at stake?

(NM-02) When Xochitl Torres Smallannounced  she would vote to impeach President Trump, she justified her actions by saying they were necessary to “protect our national security.” But now, Torres Small and her socialist colleagues are stonewalling the impeachment process by not sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate. So does Torres Small still think impeachment was an urgent national security matter? Or is she ready to admit her vote was all a partisan game?

(NY-18, NY-19) With New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastieopposing any changes to New York’s new cashless bail law, New York Dems will be forced to own the disastrous policy that allows dangerous criminals back onto the street. Antonio Delgado and Sean Patrick Maloney have refused to speak out against the policy, which law enforcement officials say will lead to “having more criminals, specifically recidivists…out on the streets, available to commit more crimes.” It’s a shame Delgado and Maloney are putting politics before New Yorkers’ safety.

(NY-21) Failed Democratic candidate Tedra Cobb is facing heat within her party, with the North Country Anti-War Working Group releasing a letter blasting her for failing to oppose the military strike on terrorist Qassem Soleimani. The left-wing group’s criticism follows Democratic discontent over Cobb’slackluster support for Medicare for All, her wishy-washiness on impeaching President Trump and her inability to take any positions at all. Cobb’s political tightrope walk is getting shakier by the day!

(PA-17)Conor Lamb finally threw in the towel and endorsed Joe Biden’s presidential bid. Doing so requires Lamb to own all of Biden’s ludicrous ideas including providing free health care to illegal immigrants and the Green New Deal which will destroy blue collar jobs in the oil and gas industry. Lamb’s decision to back Biden and his job-killing agenda will be one of the many reasons he loses reelection!

(SC-01) Hurricanes that could kill people and destroy homes? Please. Joe Cunningham thinks a lack of European wine would be more devastating. Cunningham recently said a wine tariff would be “worse than a hurricane.” Leave it to the fake ocean engineer to not understand the destructive impact a hurricane would have on the Lowcountry! P.S. A new poll shows Cunningham’s support for Democrats’ impeachment sham is destroying his political career.

(UT-04) Ben McAdams is trying to distance himself from the repercussions of House Democrats’ baseless impeachment quest. REMINDER: McAdams wouldn’t have to distance himself from Nancy Pelosi’spartisan games if he hadn’t voted to impeach and remove the president  in the first place. McAdams voted for this partisan theater he promised to disavow, and Utahns will vote him out because of it in 2020!

(VA-02) Elaine Luria announced she’s endorsingJoe Biden for President. This means she also endorsed Biden’s calls for free health care for illegal immigrants and a job-killing environmental plan similar to AOC’s Green New Deal. In other words, Elaine is fully on board with her party’s crazy train!

(VA-02, VA-07) Elaine Luria and Abigail Spanberger urged that impeachment was necessary to “protect our national security” in a Washington Post op-ed. Yet, for the past three weeks, Nancy Pelosi has refused to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate. If Luria and Spanberger truly believe impeaching President Trump will protect our country, why aren’t they demanding Pelosi stop playing politics with our national security?

News & Notes

NRCC attacks Kim over Dem non-profit ads

The National Republican Congressional Committee attacked Rep. Andy Kim over ads aired in his district by a Democratic non-profit.

House Majority Forward, a 501(c)(4) with ties to the House Majority PAC, is airing ads boosting Kim’s vote on a bill meant to lower prescription drug costs by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

Because Kim has backed legislation supporting the elimination of dark money in politics, the NRCC said he must disavow the outside group’s ads to avoid hypocrisy.

“Andy Kim is a total hypocrite when it comes to dark money,” NRCC press secretary Michael McAdams said. “As long as the spending is supporting him and his socialist agenda, Kim doesn’t care where it comes from.” READ.

Nancy Pelosi Thinks Killing Soleimani, A Prolific Terrorist, Is Like Killing A High-Ranking US Official

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Thursday compared the killing of Iran terrorist Qasem Soleimani to killing a high-ranking U.S. official.

During a press conference, Pelosi spoke about the killing of Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani in a U.S. drone strike on Jan. 2. During the conference, she compared the death of Soleimani to the killing of a top U.S. official and said that if the “shoe was on the other foot” and someone killed the Vice President of the United States, the U.S. “might consider that an assault on the country.”

“So to your point, the argument would be made that putting the shoe on the other foot is the United States had a high level, maybe the second most important person in the country assassinated wherever, the United States might consider that an assault on our country,” Pelosi said at the press conference. AOC riles Dems by refusing to pay party dues, bankrolling colleagues’ opponents

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has already topped the fundraising charts in her short time in Congress, but the liberal darling won’t donate a cent of her millions to Democrats’ House campaign organization — a position that has rankled some of her colleagues, Fox News has learned.

Instead, Ocasio-Cortez is building her own fundraising operation for fellow progressive candidates to bypass the official Democratic Party infrastructure. Already, she’s actively funding primary challengers to oust certain Democratic colleagues.

Their gripe is that Ocasio-Cortez hasn’t given any money to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party arm with the sole job of electing Democrats to the House. Records obtained by Fox News show the New York Democrat has failed to pay any of her $250,000 in “dues” to the DCCC.

Her goose egg of a contribution is no accident. Ocasio-Cortez says she has beef with the DCCC and she’ll withhold her money in protest of how the Democratic Party won’t back insurgent progressive primary candidates, like herself, in the name of protecting incumbents.

“For me personally, I’m not paying D-trip dues,” said Ocasio-Cortez, using slang for the DCCC and citing a “myriad of reasons.”

“One, I don’t agree with the policy around blacklisting groups that help progressive candidates,” she said, referring to a DCCC effort to sideline vendors who assist challengers to members of Congress. “I think we need to evolve as a party and make room for that.” READ.
