NRCC Weekly Rundown: Nancy Pelosi loses her mind

January 17, 2020

Here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:

(National) This week Speaker Nancy Pelosi surrendered and transmitted House Democrats’ sham articles of impeachment to the Senate, but only after having the audacity to question whether Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is a Russian asset (???). Click HERE to read NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer’s statement on Pelosi’s latest political stunt.

(National) Nancy Pelosi and her socialist colleagues took to the airwaves last weekend to discuss the kitchen table issues folks care about most. JUST KIDDING! Pelosi and her pals spent the weekend touting insane Russian conspiracy theories, defending the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and planning to impeach President Trump again. Can’t say I’m shocked…

(National) Cheri Bustos’ DCCC is once again in an all-out war with the most prominent member of their socialist caucus: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC put the DCCCon blast over their blacklist policy and is putting her money where her mouth is, launching her own PAC to fund progressive primary challengers against her colleagues. So much for unity! This embarrassing exchange makes more sense now.

(CA-10, CA-39, CA-45, IA-03, NJ-07) As Reps. Josh Harder, Gil Cisneros, Katie Porter, Cindy Axne and Tom Malinowski join together to found the “End Corruption Caucus,” it’s important to note that all five have raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars in laundered corporate PAC money. And that doesn’t even include all the dark money that’s been spent on their behalf! These Reps. are nothing but corrupt, partisan hacks who are owned by dark money and special interests. Their constituents will see right through their hypocrisy in November!

(CA-45) Katie Porterheaded back to Iowa for the fourth time to rally for her mentor, socialist Elizabeth Warren. No word yet on whether this trip will cause Porter to miss even more votes in Congress. Katie Porter represents California’s 45th Congressional District, which is about 1,700 miles from Des Moines, Iowa. Orange County voters are going to terminateKatie Porter’s employment in November 2020 for failing to show up to work and do her job!

(CA-48) It only cost Mike Bloombergfour million dollars to buy Harley Rouda’s endorsement. This is a flip from last week when Rouda co-hosted a Joe Biden fundraiser in Orange County. I guess Harley decided money matters more than the candidate!

(CO-06) Pretend moderate Jason Crow, a ringleader of the socialist Democrats’ impeachment effort, was named to Nancy Pelosi’s team of impeachment managers tasked with prosecuting the sham case against President Trump in the Senate. Crow’s decision to go all-in on House Democrats’ impeachment sham has taken priority over all other business, including progress on issues he promised to tackle while campaigning like lowering health care costs and creating greater economic opportunity for Colorado families. REMINDER: Polls show Democrats’ impeachment stunt remains wildly unpopular among battleground voters!

(FL-16) Margaret Good’s top donor, Hugh Culverhouse, is jumping ship to support Rep. Vern Buchanan according to the The Herald-Tribune. The paper calls this a “blow” to Good’s failing campaign. Even Margaret’s top donor knows her extreme campaign that supports impeaching and removing President Trump from office is doomed to fail in FL-16!

(GA-06)  Last week, Lyin’ Lucy McBathvoted to make it harder for the U.S. to combat terrorism. You think Lucy would explain this dangerous vote to Georgians, but instead, she went out and partied with Heather Podesta, a DC lobbyist who was called“The It Girl of a New Generation of Lobbyists.” McBath is just another typical DC swamp creature who’d rather party with lobbyists and NYC’s socialist elite than explain her dangerous voting record to Georgians!

(IL-06) A quick reminder now that Sean Casten’s chief of staff is leaving for K StreetCasten himself was a lobbyist whose former firm pushed Congress to create tax breaks for themselves. In fact, it was Casten who lobbied Congress for the tax breaks! Not surprising from Casten who has also worked to raise Illinois families’ taxes while cheating the system to give himself a tax break on his luxury home in D.C. This is all important context for the next time Casten tweets something like this or this about lobbyists…

(MN-07) This week The National Right to Life Committee and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for LifeabandonedCranky Collin Peterson, choosing to endorse his Republican challenger instead. Clearly the pro-life movement is fed up with Cranky Collin’s lack of political clout and inability to stop his infanticide-obsessed colleagues from attacking America’s most vulnerable – the unborn.

(NJ-07) One-TermTom Malinowskiannounced his long-shot effort to be reelected last Sunday. It’s a good time to remind you that instead of delivering on his campaign promises, Malinowski has spent his time in Washington backing his party’s baseless impeachment efforts and voting 100% of the time with Nancy Pelosi. By going all-in on his deranged party’s socialist agenda, Malinowski has shown NJ-07 voters he can’t be trusted and secured his fate as a one-term Congressman!

(NY-18, NY-19) Another day, another front-page story on New York Democrats’ disastrous bail policy. It’s also another day of Sean Patrick Maloney and Antonio Delgadorefusing to condemn the insane policy that allows dangerous criminals back on the street. Will they ever speak out against their party’s insanity? I’m guessing not considering Maloney is a “huge supporter” of the policy and has “his plate full” with sham impeachment proceedings.

(TX-32) Colin Allred announced his endorsement of Joe Biden, throwing his support behind the increasingly incoherent liberal who has steadily wandered to the left. Biden backs sacrificing “hundreds of thousands” of oil and gas jobs in the name of extreme environmental policies like the Green New Deal, on top of also supporting taxpayer-funded abortionsfree health care for illegal immigrants and massive tax hikes. Allred’s decision to endorse a loony candidate who will put the oil and gas industry out of business shows he’s out of touch with Texans and will lose in November!

Newt Gingrich: House Republicans in 2020 can have a great year – here’s how

The liberal media likes to focus on how many House Republicans are retiring. Somehow this is supposed to make Republicans feel defeated and hopeless.

In this context, I was startled recently to hear Congresswoman Elise Stefanik say 2020 was going to be the year of the House Republican woman. She went on to assert that there was a historic record being set for Republican women filing to run for the House.

I checked in with Chairman Tom Emmer at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and found that, if anything, Stefanik had understated the momentum of new recruits.

With House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and the leadership team going all out, the House Republicans are setting a remarkably encouraging series of records. READ.

GOP claims Pelosi is ‘losing her mind’ for criticizing McConnell

The National Republican Congressional Committee on Tuesday accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of “losing her mind” after a report revealed she sometimes questioned Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s motives.

“CNN is reporting that the Speaker of the House of Representatives is openly questioning whether the United States Senate Majority Leader is an asset of the Russian Federation. Let that sink in for a second,” Michael McAdams, the NRCC’s national press secretary, wrote in a release. “Is it time to start openly questioning whether Pelosi is losing her mind?”

The attack came after CNN reported on Pelosi’s comments to a private meeting of House Democrats earlier on Tuesday. READ.

AOC Creates New PAC to Fight Against Democratic ‘Blacklisting’

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has had a long-held policy of “blacklisting” any vendors or firms that help candidates who mount primary challenges against Democratic incumbents. As someone who successfully mounted a challenge against a Democratic incumbent, it’s safe to say Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) feels some type of a way about that.

The Washington Post reports that Ocasio-Cortez has formed the political action committee Courage to Change. According to its website, the PAC was created to “elect working-class champions who have lived the hardships we seek to eliminate—people who have experienced racial, economic, environmental, or social injustice firsthand.” According to Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign, the PAC has already raised $107,000 since its launch this past weekend.

Notably, Ocasio-Cortez has not paid her dues to the DCCC this year. Earlier this month she tweeted, “DCCC made clear that they will blacklist any org that helps progressive candidates like me. I can choose not to fund that kind of exclusion.” Money sent to the DCCC goes into helping fund and organize Democratic congressional campaign runs. READ.
