McCarthy Adds Candidates To 2020 Young Guns Program

WASHINGTON – House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy today announced the addition of three candidates to the committee’s 2020 Young Guns program, and the promotion of one to the Contender level. The program mentors and supports candidates in races across the country and works to provide them with the necessary tools to run successful, winning campaigns against their Democratic opponents.

“We’re excited to add these hardworking candidates to our Young Guns program,” said House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy. “The Democrats have embraced a socialist agenda that’s sorely out of touch with the American people. These candidates will hold their Democratic opponents accountable and bring Republicans one step closer to reclaiming the majority.” 

The Young Guns program requires candidates to work towards specific goals and meet benchmarks throughout the election cycle to ensure their campaigns remain competitive, well-funded and communicative within their districts.
