How does an opera house help?

Last night Xochitl Torres Small tried to brush off her party’s move to delay much needed coronavirus funding as “disagreements as far as where the money should be spent.”

Fair point! Unfortunately for New Mexicans currently suffering, the priorities Torres Small and her party are fighting for have nothing to do with the crisis at hand. Legislation released yesterday by Nancy Pelosi includes a whole socialist wish list of unrelated items, including $35 million for an opera house in Washington, DC.

So how does Torres Small defend risking people’s lives and jobs so that she can attend the opera in DC?
