Christy Smith breaks promise not to campaign during business hours

April 3, 2020

Christy Smith promised voters last night during a Zoom campaign tele-town hall that she wouldn’t campaign during business hours.

Smith said:

“From 9 am to 5 pm and most days lately from 7 am to 8 or 9 pm I’m also doing my job as a state assembly member and as you might imagine under these circumstances that’s really taking quite a bit of my time and I take that job really, really seriously so I am not crossing over during business hours to do campaign activity. “ (Watch the Zoom video HERE).

Less than 24 hours later, she’s already broken that promise tweeting in the first person from her campaign account trying to defend her actions as a school board member voting to lay off teachers and slash their pay.
