Junior Rouda faceplants trying to attack opponent on COVID-19
April 8, 2020
In a stunning display of hyper-partisanship, Harley “Junior” Rouda yesterday used Twitter to claim the chairwoman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors (who happens to be his congressional challenger) wasn’t doing her job because she hadn’t waived late fees on property taxes in Orange County.
There’s just one problem…
Michelle Steel doesn’t have the authority to waive late fees, only the Orange County tax collector does.
NRCC Comment: “It’s beyond scary Congressman Harley Rouda is giving advice to constituents during a pandemic when he clearly doesn’t know how his own county operates.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair
