Elitist Donna the deadbeat?

Donna Shalala recently voted along partisan lines to allow Member of Congress to sit on their couch at home while collecting their paycheck and literally phoning in their votes to Washington.

Today, we are seeing the first wave of Democrats giving up their vote to some other member representing a faraway district.

Elitist Democrats think they can lead from their couch while the clerk at the local grocery store, sanitation workers collecting their trash, and medical personnel working on the front lines still must do their job.

Elitist Donna also thought she could get away with breaking federal law. So is this really surprising?
