Congressional Democrats spent yesterday desperately trying to distance themselves from their party’s new ideological purity test: defunding the police.

But that doesn’t work when you have folks like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explicitly calling to defund and dismantle all law enforcement, Democrat mayors in New York City and Los Angeles promising to slash police budgets and the Minneapolis City Council pledging to eliminate the police entirely.
