Christy Smith removed as chair of California emergency management committee

Christy Smith today was removed as chair of the California Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management.

Since the breakout of COVID-19, Smith has failed to hold a single hearing on the pandemic.

Smith told the Talk on Santa Clarita on April 6 that she’d, “get back to the work of the Emergency Management Committee once we are back in session.” (watch HERE). 

The California state legislature has been back in session for 46 days. Still no committee hearing.
