CBS Sacramento: TJ Cox allegedly used office to press Yosemite for passes after denial

August 5, 2020

In case you missed it in the Washington ExaminerFresno Bee or San Joaquin Valley Sun, here’s even more coverage from CBS Sacramento of Congressman TJ Cox abusing his office to visit Yosemite National Park for a family trip over 4th of July weekend.

Yosemite National Park is giving away park passes in a lottery system, and originally denied Cox’s request for tickets. Cox then leaned on his congressional office to press the issue so he was allowed to skip to the front of the line. Cox has released no media from the trip in his capacity as a congressman. He shared a photo of his family on the Valley floor on his campaign Twitter account.
