SUBJECT: WASHINGTON PRIMARY RESULTS

Republicans are confident in holding Washington’s Third Congressional District and taking back Washington’s Eighth Congressional District. Instead of being independent voices for Washington State, Kim Schrier and Carolyn Long both support Nancy Pelosi’s radical agenda of a $93 trillion takeover of the economy and a government-run health care system that would eliminate employer-provided insurance.

Come November, Kim Schrier and Carolyn Long will have to defend their well-documented radical records of supporting tax increases that will hurt Washington families.

WA-03: Carolyn Long (D) vs. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R)

Carolyn Long is a retread candidate who lost to Jaime Herrera Beutler in 2018, during one of the best cycles for Democrats in recent history. President Trump won WA-03 by seven points in 2016, and GOP enthusiasm in 2020 will boost turnout helping Republican candidates. Long’s policy positions haven’t changed from 2018; she still supports raising taxes and a single-payer Medicare for All health care system that experts say would force rural hospitals, like the 40 rural hospitals in Washington State, to close their doors.

Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler continues to be an independent voice representing Washington State families in Congress. She will have the resources she needs to win reelection and beat radical, retread candidate Carolyn Long for a second time.

PVI: R +4

2016 Presidential Results: Trump: 49.9% (+7.4) Clinton: 42.5%

Ratings: Cook Rating – Lean Republican; Inside Elections – Likely Republican

Geography: Washington’s 3rd Congressional District is located in the southwestern portion of the state and includes Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties and a portion of Thurston County. The DMA is 83.74% Portland and 16.26% Seattle.

WA-08: Kim Schrier (D) vs. Jesse Jensen (R)

Kim Schrier’s loyalty lies not with Washington families, but with Nancy Pelosi. Schrier claimed she was going to DC to work with Republicans and Democrats on behalf of Washington families, but instead she’s voted with Nancy Pelosi 100 percent of the time. Schrier’s enthusiastic support of Democrats’ radical agenda of raising taxes and government-run health care will cost her reelection.

Jesse Jensen is a combat veteran of the United States Army where he served as an Army Ranger. Jensen is a first-time candidate whose willingness to go to DC and fight for Washington families stands in stark contrast to Schrier’s inability to accomplish anything in the Democrat-controlled dysfunction.
