Christy Smith: Assembly Bill 5 won’t slash California jobs

As Uber and Lyft are poised to pull out of California, here’s a nice little Flashback Friday to Christy Smith defending voting for Assembly Bill 5 not once, but TWICE.
When defending the law that would force companies like Uber and Lyft to fire or reclassify independent contractors as employees, Smith said: “it in no way shape or form was this a bill that slashed California jobs.”
