Like a lead balloon

Rita Hart and Cindy Axne’s plan to ask Nancy Pelosi to overturn the results of the IA-02 election does not seem to be going well.

Dave Wasserman reports that even among House Democrats, the prospect of not seating Congresswoman-elect Mariannette Miller-Meeks or overturning the will of Iowa voters is “going over like a lead balloon.”

With Democrats holding the very slimmest of House majorities, just a couple of squeamish Democrats would be all it takes to stop Hart’s power grab in its tracks.
