Here’s how to lose a campaign

In case you forgot, Gil Cisneros promised CA-39 he wouldn’t vote for Speaker Pelosi in 2018, and then promptly broke his promise.

In Young Kim’s first TV ad of the 2020 election, she highlighted Cisneros’ broken promise and his record of voting with Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time.  

Gil Cisneros then lost his reelection bid in a district Joe Biden won by more than 10 points. 

Will Democrats who promised they wouldn’t vote for Pelosi in 2018 follow through on their word and reject Pelosi’s bid for Speaker? 

Or will they lay the groundwork to join Cisneros as former members of Congress?
