Will the real Cindy Axne please stand up?

Last week Rep. Cindy Axne faced blowback in Iowa media after Rep. Jason Smith (R-Mo.) tweeted out an email from Axne’s office telling him that she will no longer work with him.

But this weekend Axne’s office backtracked and told Politico that she will work with her Republican colleagues.

So is Axne working with Rep. Smith now? Or is she lying to the media to build up her bipartisan credentials for a gubernatorial run?

Iowans deserve to know.
