WTAS: House Republicans are on OFFENSE!
A tale of two parties: the NRCC added ten new targets to its offensive map this morning. Meanwhile, Democrats are privately admitting they face a challenging cycle amid a spate of retirements and dim redistricting prospects.
Here’s what they’re saying:
- BREAKING THIS MORNING — The NRCC announced a few minutes ago that it added 10 House Democrats to its list of takeover targets, bringing the total to 57. It’s a show of confidence that the 2022 environment is favorable to Republicans, especially post-reapportionment.
- All 10 of the incumbent Democrats represent states, such as California and New York, that are set to lose a House seat thanks to the 2020 census, which will shift the balance of congressional seats for the next decade.
- Emmer, R-Minn., argued that “every House Democrat is facing an uphill battle having to defend their toxic socialist agenda that prioritizes trillion-dollar tax hikes on the middle class, opens our borders, closes our schools and defunds the police.”
