New NRCC Ads Slam Democrats Over The Rising Cost Of School Supplies

August 25, 2021

The NRCC is launching a new round of paid media targeting 15 vulnerable Democrats over the higher prices parents are paying for school supplies.

NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer said, “Democrats’ reckless economic policies have caused a massive spike in prices, and parents across the country are feeling the sting as they send their kids back to school. Voters know Democrats caused an inflation crisis, and we will continue to hold them accountable.”

Additional background:

This is the third set of advertisements the NRCC has launched on the issue of rising prices.

According to the Washington Post, President Biden’s outside group, Build Back Better, found “the NRCC produced one of the first inflation spots we’ve seen and it was one of the most powerful Republican ads to date. Notably, they did more damage with this ad than nearly any other conservative ad tested and they were able to do it in [15 seconds] instead of a typical [30 seconds].”

A recent Fox News poll found 86 percent of voters are concerned about inflation and 76 percent of voters blame the government’s economic policies for rising prices.
