NEW California poll: Biden underwater on inflation

A new Berkeley IGS poll shows major issues for Joe Biden in the deep blue state of California. 

The poll found 59% of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of inflation, compared to just 34% approving. Only 26% of No Party Preference voters approve of how Joe Biden is handling inflation compared to 65% who disapprove.

Joe Biden’s overall approval rating is: 

• Three points underwater with No Party Preference voters
• One point underwater in Orange County
• Seven points underwater in the Inland Empire
• A whopping 17 points underwater in the Central Valley

Compared to 2021, Biden’s approval rating has declined:

• 18 points among Asian American voters
• 18 points among Latino voters
• 19 points among those between 18-29 years old
• 18 points among those between 30-39 years old
