Jay Chen writes op-ed defending xenophobic comments

In a new op-ed, Jay Chen is doubling down and defending his xenophobic comments about Rep. Michelle Steel.

Chen now says he was referring to “a written transcript of Steel,” but, as the Daily Mail pointed out Chen was answering a question from an audience member who said: “If you listen to one of her town hall meetings, she doesn’t speak very well…” 

Unfortunately for Chen, there’s video showing him mocking Steel’s accent.

REMINDER: This isn’t the first time Chen’s attacked Steel personally. He previously said, “all she (Steel) does is rely on Republican talking points fed by her husband.”
