CNN: High gas prices complicate Democrats’ hopes of picking up US House seats in California

CNN reports “as the Golden State contends with the highest gas prices in the nation heading next Tuesday’s primaries, the financial pain felt by families is overshadowing every other issue.”

California’s gas prices are the highest in the country at an average $6.19 a gallon.

And California’s gas tax is set to increase from 51 cents a gallon to 54 cents a gallon on July 1.
