Convicted sex offender who brutally beat random man freed without bail

A convicted sex offender was freed without bail yesterday after attacking a man in the Bronx last week.

The victim is in a medically induced coma after requiring brain surgery, but thanks to New York’s bail reform, which Democrat candidates and incumbents support, criminal Bui Van Phu had his attempted-murder charges reduced to misdemeanors and is roaming free.
