NEW RACE RATING: OR-05 “Leans Republican”

Sabato’s Crystal Ball has moved OR-05 from Toss-up to Leans Republican.

They note that OR-05 “has become a real headache for Democrats,” going on to write that “Democrats drew a gerrymander in Oregon designed to get them 5 of the state’s 6 seats, but it just seems like things are going poorly enough for them in the state that they won’t get there. The 2 other open-seat races, OR-4 and OR-6, are also highly competitive…”
