That’s exactly where Gabe Vasquez finds himself today — not just too far-left for New Mexico voters, but also too far-left for fellow Democrats, including Chuck Schumer and New Mexico Senators Ben Ray Luján and Martin Heinrich. 

33 Senate Democrats, including Luján and Heinrich, rejected the reduced sentences for violent crime that Vasquez supported just weeks prior.
