Scholten stays silent on gas prices

April 4, 2023

In case you missed it, the average gasoline price in Michigan went up 12 cents a gallon during the past week and it’s expected to continue to increase through the spring.

Energy prices have skyrocketed 42 percent since Joe Biden took office and gas prices have surged 52 percent.

And yet, just last week, Hillary Scholten sided with the extreme left and voted against HR 1, legislation to reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil and lower energy costs.

“Hillary Scholten clearly has no regard for the impact of high gas prices on hardworking Michiganders. She voted against American-made energy and West Michigan voters will reject her extreme policies in 2024.” – NRCC Spokesman Chris Gustafson
