NRCC Chairman Hudson Statement on Nomination of Steve Scalise for Speaker of the House

National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Richard Hudson (R-NC) released the following statement after the House Republican Conference voted to nominate Steve Scalise (R-LA) for Speaker of the House:

“It has been a tremendous honor to fight alongside my friend Steve Scalise. Steve is the most tenacious person I know, tackling every curveball life has thrown at him with the ‘Eye of the Tiger.’ Steve has an innate understanding of the political realities of being Speaker and will be a powerful asset to our team at the NRCC.
