Border Town

A tragic story is unfolding in the Hudson Valley where a “Haitian national who was awaiting deportation hearings” has been accused of murdering his roommates in Middletown. 

The alleged killer, Kenol Baptiste, has been in the United States for 8 months. 

A local elected who recently returned from a border trip had this to say:  
“This is a failure on all levels of the federal government…”

“Who is monitoring them? That’s the problem.”

“We don’t have any history, no background on these individuals.”
