NRCC Chairman Hudson: Hochul & Jeffries Can’t Hold NY-21 Hostage

NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson (R-NC) today called on New York Governor Kathy Hochul and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to stop holding the residents of New York’s 21st Congressional District hostage.

“Much to the disappointment of Hakeem Jeffries, I’m pleased to hear Governor Hochul and her cronies in Albany have ended their anti-democracy plot to disenfranchise over 750,000 voters in Upstate New York. While today’s news is a victory for representative democracy, we’re not out of the woods yet. New York Democrats must immediately commit to calling a special election in the 21st District under current law, no strings attached.”
